Send us the part. Get a machine concept back — free.
Why we give the first piece of engineering away
No brochure can tell you whether a machine builder understands your part. A concept can: it shows how the part will be held, what the machine will do to it in what order, how long that takes, and what it is likely to cost. If it is right, you have a starting point for a quotation. If it is wrong, you have lost nothing — and if a machine would not pay for itself, the concept says that too.
- A drawing, photos or a sample of the part
- What the machine must do: assemble, press, test, inspect, load
- What makes a part good or bad, as measurably as you can
- Parts per shift, or the cycle time you need
- A phone video of how the job is done today
- A layout sketch of the machine
- The sequence of operation, step by step
- A cycle-time estimate against your target
- The main components: PLC, HMI, sensors, actuators, instruments
- A budget range, and an honest view on whether it is worth building
Not sure what to put in the brief? The SPM requirement checklist walks through the twelve things a machine builder needs to know.
About the free concept
Is the concept really free?
Yes. No fee, no obligation to build the machine with us, and no follow-up calls you did not ask for. A special purpose machine is bought once and lived with for years; the concept is how you find out whether we understand your part before you spend anything.
What do you need from us?
The part — a drawing, photos or a sample — what the machine has to do to it, how many parts per shift, and how the job is done today. A phone video of the current process is often the single most useful thing you can send.
Who prepares the concept?
The engineer who would design the machine, not a sales team. If the machine is built, the same person sees it through to commissioning.
How soon do we get it?
We reply within one working day to confirm what we have and ask anything that is missing, and tell you then when the concept will be ready. For most single-station machines that is within a week.
Our drawings are confidential.
They are used only to prepare your concept and quotation, and never shown to anyone else. If you need a non-disclosure agreement before sharing them, send it with your enquiry and we will sign it first.
We need changes to an existing machine, not a new one. Does this apply?
Yes. Send photos of the machine and its panel, the PLC make and model, and what it should do differently. You get the same thing back: what the change involves, how long the machine will be down and a budget range.
Have a job that a machine should be doing?
Send the part and the target output. You get a concept, a sequence and a budget range back — free, and with no obligation to build it with us.
